The work week is wrapped up and now I am gearing up for the weekend. Besides continuing to add and edit content to the website for it to be fully functional, I also have some new candle projects planned. I am going to work on some more rose candles (new colors) and I am going to try my hand at plain votives, if time permits. I have the materials, just need to find the time to try them. I am interested in seeing how easy or hard they are compared to container candles. These projects will be my first experiments with molds so it will be an interesting weekend.

In doing some candle research I have come across a couple of projects for the future that have piqued my interest. These include electric candles, wax dipped bears and beeswax. I already have some gift ideas brewing. If anyone has any experience or interest in these let me know. I would be interested in what others have learned.

Candle Tip of the Week

Floating Candles

Floating candles can provide both a formal and informal setting for either a dinner party or a back yard picnic. Floating candles in a clear bowl creates an extra special lighting effect. Using distilled water eliminates mineral buildup on the side of crystal or glass, preserving its unique presentation of floating candles.
