My first candle love was gel candles. I got so hooked on them and the creative possibilities. I then added soy to my candle making skills, but still only made container candles. I am now branching out to parrafin and starting to create votives and moving towards pillars. The learning process is nothing short of fun. What are your favorite type of candles to make? Post and share your experiences.

I've been making a lot of new things this year, but wax melts have been fun and rewarding. So many options in colors and scents. Unique container candles are always one of my favorites and there have been some great new options out there for Spring. Anyone else want to share their favorites?

I made my first pillar candle this past weekend using a metal pillar mold. It was with a palm wax and wow did it turn out beautiful! I think I really want to get into making pillars at some point. I was a little leary of them at first, but after getting to finally make one, it was fun and makes a great candle! Anyone else a fan of pillar candles?

I've been making a lot of fun new shapes for floating candles. They have been a great way to decorate and add something extra to parties and outdoor gatherings.
